Marvel's 'Echo' Snags #1 Spot On Both Disney+ & Hulu
Marvel Studios’ latest Disney+ series, Echo, released all five episodes on Tuesday. Since their release, the show skyrocketed to the coveted number-one slot for Disney+ and Hulu platforms. Echo is the studio’s first foray into TV-MA content on the streaming service and the first show on Disney+ and Hulu’s media. Public numbers from Nielsen have yet to be released.
The series stars Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez/Echo, having just escaped Wilson Fisk’s criminal empire from New York City. Initially, she travels home to battle her past and family. As Echo is Marvel Studios’ first primary character who is indigenous and deaf, the show has garnered high praise for its representation within the Marvel Studio canon of work.
