Kevin Feige is a superhero in his own right, as Marvel Studios has successfully convinced none other than Harrison Ford to join the cast of the upcoming film, ThunderboltsWilliam Hurt was initially set to reprise his role as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross; sadly, he has since passed away. Slash Film has confirmed, however, that the Star Wars alum will, in fact, be cast in the role. Thunderbolts will close out Marvel Studios Phase 5, as fans learned at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Characters that the Indiana Jones star is expected to lead will include Yelena Belova, played by Florence Pugh, U.S. Agent, played by Wyatt Russell, Taskmaster, played by Olga Kurylenko, and Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen.

Fans will see Ford debut as Ross in Captain America: New World Order. In the comics, Ross becomes Red Hulk. We do not yet know if that will be the direction of the film or not; only time will tell. Also, what stunts fans can expect to see Ford’s character perform also hasn’t been confirmed yet. Captain America: New World Order is scheduled to release on May 3, 2024. This will surely whet the appetite of fans across the MCU as they can see even more of him when Thunderbolts, directed by Jake Schreier, is released to theaters on July 26, 2024.
