A little over a month before the premiere date of November 11, Marvel brings the latest trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, depicting the saddened nation in the aftermath of T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman)’s death. The people of Wakanda in white mourn their lost protector who left behind his mask now sitting in Shuri’s hands. Shuri and their mother Queen Ramonda lead the slow funeral procession through the streets accompanied by the serene music playing in the background honoring the legacy of their leader.

However, there is still work to be done as the voice of the mysterious Namor comments, “Only the most broken people can be great leaders.” Juxtaposed between the shots of grieving Wakandans, someone is preparing to strike from beneath the waters. He is sharpening his weapons and gathering his people.

Namor, whose role in the upcoming movie was revealed only recently, attacks the surface world, bringing destruction to Wakanda at its lowest. He seems invincible as his power floods the streets of Wakanda. What can they do when killing the feather serpent god “will risk eternal war.”

Queen Ramonda shows the world that Wakanda’s fighting spirit is not broken as she rallies her people against the latest threat. The Dora Milaje shed their mourning white and pick up their spears as they follow Okoye into battle. Riri Williams and her armor fly in to lend her helping hands, and the new Black Panther enters the scene.
