Lucasfilm Released A New Trailer For 'Star Wars: The Mandalorian' During D23 Expo
Back in May at Star Wars Celebration, many new Star Wars projects were announced, and trailers were even shown to attendees. However, many of these trailers were not released to the public. This weekend at D23 however, The Mandalorian season 3 teaser trailer was shown to attendees, and finally released to the public as well. From what we see in the trailer, this season looks much darker than the previous two seasons and appears to pick up right where The Book of Boba Fett ended.
The trailer starts with clips of Mando and Grogu from the previous seasons. The armorer is doing a voiceover. She calls him Grogu’s “father”, and reminds us that together they are a “clan of two”. She also reminds us that since Din removed his helmet that he “is a Mandalorian no more”. We then see Grogu and Din in their fancy new Naboo starfighter ship, trying to escape another ship firing at them. Grogu looks like he’s having a fun time flying in circles. We then see Bo Katan, looking out a window of what appears to be a palace. Greef Karga and Mando meet up again and are still allies. Greef Karga has some sort of fancy robe on.
RELATED:
We see Mando fly to the planet Mandalore, and it does not look good. Bo Katan is sitting on a throne, and Mando is standing in front of her. She asks him where he was when “his cult fractured our people”. Bo Katan and Grogu are now alone, and she asks him if he thought “his dad was the only Mandalorian”. There is a lot of fighting going on. There appear to be a lot more Mandalorians in this show as well, but whose side they are on is unknown. We also get a glimpse of Peli and her droids, and it looks like we are going to see Babu Frik again too. The trailer ends with Mando telling Grogu to “hang on” and asking if he is ready “to go on an adventure”. Grogu is in the cockpit and looks to be having the time of his life going fast.
The Mandalorian season 3 teaser trailer is finally out for everyone to enjoy after months of waiting. I am so excited for the new season and cannot wait for it to come out.
The Mandalorian season 3 is set to release in Spring 2023 on Disney+.
