Lance Reddick, Star Of ‘The Wire’ And ‘John Wick,’ Dies At The Age of 60
Lance Reddick passed away suddenly this morning, Friday, March 17th, 2023, from natural causes. He was 60 years old. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie, and children, Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick.
Lance Reddick had an extensive career in Hollywood. His career began in the 90s with shows like New York Undercover and The West Wing. Eventually, he was cast as Narcotics Unit Lt. Daniels in the hit HBO show, The Wire. After getting this breakout role, he worked nonstop. He had a memorable part in the show Lost and regular roles in the Fox sci-fi series Fringe, Amazon’s Bosch, and most recently, a role in Netflix’s Resident Evil. He will also play the Greek God Zeus in the upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians series for Disney+, one of the late actor’s final performances.

However, his roles didn’t just include TV, as he appeared in several films as well. He had a role in the John Wick films, Godzilla vs. Kong and the upcoming remake of White Men Can’t Jump. In addition, he is set to reprise his role as Charon in the forthcoming John Wick 4 film, which comes out Friday, March 24th.
He also lent his voice to video games and animated shows. He voiced the role of Commander Zavala in the Destiny games and appeared as the character Sylens in Horizon Forbidden West. He voiced the dragon Thordak in The Legend Of Vox Machina on Amazon Prime and the Captain in the Netflix Castlevania series.
