Kristen Bell Says She Wants ‘Frozen III’ Despite Disney’s Lack Of Announcements
Kirsten Bell may have pre-emptively announced a new Frozen movie. It’s been four years since we last ‘built a snowman’ and small children (and big ones) everywhere have been crying out for a new icy film with earworm songs. The pairing of the strong vocal talents of Kirsten Bell, and Idina Mendel and quirky side characters such as Josh Gad (Olaf) created an instant hit. So it wasn’t a surprise when Bell appeared on Jimmy Fallon (Monday Night - 20/06/2022) that the subject came up.
Bell’s response?
‘I would like to officially announce, with zero authority, Frozen 3’

She did backtrack her confident reply, repeating that she had ‘zero authority’ to make such an announcement. But Bell also included that she knew all the major players, Mendel, etc were interested in signing for the project. ‘I feel like if we're all in, what are we waiting for?’
With Frozen being such a major money maker for Disney, it’s hard to see them passing up the opportunity to make another one. Worldwide Frozen II made $1,445,182,280 at the box office, and that’s not counting all the children’s toys and games that were sold as a result. The franchise did so well for Disney, that out of their top 10 grossing movies, Frozen I & II hold the top two spots.
So Bell may have let the cat out of the bag a little early, but we’re surprised Disney left it this long.
