Key Antagonist And Release Date For 'Saw X' Revealed

Halloween is coming early for horror movie fans this year as the release date for Lionsgate's Saw X has been moved from October 27 to September 29. To spur interest in the film, Lionsgate shared two images from the upcoming flick. First, an image of Tobin Bell as Kramer was released. Then, the studio released a poster for the film with an image of a person wearing goggles with long eye tubes that cross over to form an X. The poster featured the tagline, “Witness the return of Jigsaw.”

The film is set between Saw I and Saw II and will focus on John Kramer making his way to Mexico to participate in a risky and experimental cancer treatment. However, when Kramer arrives, he finds the treatment is a scam meant to defraud vulnerable people. So Kramer once again takes on the Jigsaw mantle and deals with the scammers according to his own brand of justice. While Saw X comes pretty early in this year’s horror season, The Nun 2 holds the honor of the first release of this spooky season. Exorcist: The Believer and Five Nights at Freddy’s follow with release dates on October 13 and October 27, respectively.
