Kevin Conroy Will Make A Posthumous Appearance As Batman In 'Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League'

A beloved actor in the Batman universe will be heard in an upcoming project.  A new clip from the forthcoming Rocksteady video game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will feature the late Kevin Conroy in the role of Batman.

Conroy, who passed away in November, was known for his role as the voice of the Caped Crusader since his first appearance in Batman: The Animated Series in 1992.  Since then, he has voiced Batman in many shows and games, and in the animated films Mask of the Phantasm (1993), Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZero (1998), Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (2000), and Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman (2003).

The actor received an outpouring of love on social media from fans and colleagues alike, including a notable tribute on the side of the Empire State Building.  The iconic Manhattan landmark lit up its very own bat signal in honor of Conroy’s legacy.

Conroy’s appearance in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League only adds to the hype surrounding this highly anticipated co-op shooter game.  Players will join Suicide Squad members Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, King Shark, and Deadshot after supervillain Brainiac corrupts them into stopping the Justice League.

Kevin Conroy’s posthumous appearance as the famed superhero reinforces his importance in the long legacy of Batman.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released on May 26, 2023.
