Jude Law And The Cast Of 'Peter Pan & Wendy' Talk About Their Journey In 'More Stories To Tell' Featurette

One of the latest Disney live-action adaptations, Peter Pan & Wendy, brought fans behind the scenes in a featurette titled Peter Pan & Wendy: More Stories to Tell. The goal of the short was to highlight the exact scope and direction this adaptation is taking.

Director David Lowery kicked the featurette off by nodding to the significance of the title:

“Peter Pan is one of the crown jewels of the Disney library. The idea of adapting it in live action was very daunting, but ultimately I decided it was too good an opportunity to pass up.”

He later pointed out that their goal was “to give audiences who love Peter Pan… everything that they want, with all this adventure, all this action on a huge scale.”

Jude Law, who was cast as Peter Pan’s famous rival Captain Hook commented on the scope of the film:

“[This] iteration looks at why the feud between the two of them started.”

Yara Shahidi, who plays Tinkerbell, elaborated on this further:

“[We] get the magic of what we love about the original, but in this rendition, there [are] more stories to tell.”

Joining Law and Shahidi in Peter Pan & Wendy is Ever Anderson as Wendy Darling, Alexander Molony as Peter Pan, Joshua Pickering as John Darling, Jacobi Jupe as Michael Darling, Jim Gaffigan as Mr.Smee, and Alyssa Wapanatâhk as Tiger Lily..

The film is an adaptation of Disney’s 1953 animated version of Peter Pan. The original movie was an adaptation of J. M. Barrie’s play Peter Pan or The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up. Peter Pan & Wendy will stream exclusively on Disney+ starting April 28th, 2023!
