'John Wick Chapter 4' Unveiled By Keanu Reeves At San Diego Comic-Con

John Wick at gunpoint

Keanu Reeves is back and looks as good as ever as John Wick in the just dropped John Wick: Chapter 4 trailer that debuted at Comic-Con. The trailer was a surprise and was shown during Collider’s director's panel, where the director of the movie, Chad Stahelski, was a panellist.  Keanu Reeves “crashed” the panel to help show off the trailer. Reeves and Stahelski talked about how the newest installment will take place in five places- Japan, America, Paris, Berlin, and Jordan.

The trailer is dark and violent, which falls in line with the other John Wick movies. It opens with John punching a roped pole. We see a shot of John in Paris and neon shots of Japan. There are a ton of people with various weapon types as well, A voiceover asks “have you given any thought to how this ends? No one, not even you can kill everyone”. There are a lot of fight scenes in the trailer that show John and his enemies fighting with various weapons, such as samurai swords, guns, and nun chucks.

John Wick behind candles

There are glimpses of Bill Skarsgard’s character, and scenes of John Wick fighting Donnie Yen’s character. In one of their fights, they fight using both a gun and a sword. That will be cool to see. Laurence Fishburne is back reprising his role and even holds up John’s iconic black suit. It’s nice to see that John still has friends in a world trying to kill him.

What started out as a movie about a man out for revenge after his dog was murdered, has turned into a series of awesome action movies, each one better than the last. I for one, cannot wait for this movie to come out, and to see Keanu Reeves back in action.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is set to release in theaters on March 24, 2023.
