There have been rumors circulating about two potential Pirates of The Caribbean movies in the works, a female-led script and a second bringing Johnny Depp back to the screen. With the Margot Robbie project officially shelved, it seems ever more likely that Captain Jack Sparrow will return to the silver.

Prolific producer Jerry Bruckheimer has worked on all five Pirates of the Caribbean films and has said in a recent interview with The Associated Press that they are still working on getting Depp’s movie greenlit, but they have nothing definitive yet. But Bruckheimer may be acting coy, as a leaked call sheet from production indicates that Depp is doing a test shoot in the UK this February.

According to the document, Bruce Hendricks is also returning as executive producer. The movie’s working title is ‘A Day At The Sea .’ If Depp is flying to the UK in February, it won’t take long to confirm the rumors, as he currently has one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood. With Depp eager to put his court case behind him and return to his career, it’s not surprising he wants to return to one of his most famous roles. Pirates of The Caribbean franchise has made Disney over 4.5 billion dollars, so it’s hard to see the sixth film not being made, no matter who eventually plays the lead.
