James Gunn Once Again Debunks DC Rumors, This Time With ‘Wonder Woman’
DC Studio heads James Gunn and Peter Safran continue to make headlines as Gunn took to Twitter again to deflate rumors and reports about the third Wonder Woman film's future.
Variety reported the new DC Universe would not include the Wonder Woman franchise established in two films by director Patty Jenkins, and at the time of this report, it is uncertain if Gal Gadot will move forward as DC Studios’ Diana Prince. When asked to “debunk” this rumor on Twitter by a fan, Gunn wrote, “I hereby debunk it (only because it’s not true).”

From there, in response to a fan’s question for comment on Ezra Miller reportedly being a part of the next three years of films, he announced the slate he plans to announce would encompass eight to ten years of projects. Gunn did not reveal any exact dates or specifically any projects.
Recently, Gunn did announce he was writing a script for the next Superman film, which will focus on the character’s youth as a developing “man of steel.” This announcement did conclude Henry Cavill’s run as the leading man in the role. The DC Studios roadmap is currently in development which industry insiders detail as a “broad but not blanket reset.”
At the time of this report, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Blue Beetle, The Flash, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods are in post-production at the studio. All films listed will release in 2023 unless more news develops on Gunn and Safran’s slate of upcoming films.
