James Gunn Comments On DCU Canon Through 'Peacemaker' Season Two

With the WGA strike now over, many cinematic universes are coming back into the limelight. With fans seeing the DC Universe as having rather strange and inconsistent continuity, the possibility of Peacemaker season 2 fixing things has come up. James Gunn has confirmed on Twitter that Peacemaker season 2 will take place in the “new” DC universe, as well as address the continuity issue. It is currently unknown how this will happen.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash, Blue Beetle, Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, are all currently in post-production, and all are expected to hit theatres soon. The current DC universe has made a commitment to having better continuity with film, television, animation, and video games all existing in one universe.
Peacemaker season 2 will star John Cena in the role of the titular character, with James Gunn and Peter Safran being in charge of the project.
