Ivanna Sakhno, 'Ahsoka's Newest Villainess, Discusses Her Character
You can’t blame an actor for getting really into their role. It might be easy to get excited for a hero to get excited for their role. They’re the one who it’s all about, they’re the one who saves the day, they’re the one who the entire narrative spins.
However, when things get more interesting when someone who plays a villain gets really into their role. Maybe it’s the villain’s raw charisma, maybe the villain is a complete badass. Maybe it’s the fact that the villain is fighting something they believe in and are just misguided with their means, but still finds a way to unleash a raw primal desire to fight for something that we all have. Ivanna Sakhno, who plays the orange lightsaber-wielding Shin Hati seems to have found what she loves about her character.
"Shin is quite an intense and ambitious Force-wielder. She is very skilled in lightsaber combat. She is a new character, so I don't want to give away too much of who Shin is, as I would love the audience to be able to discover her." Sakhno said in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly."

I hope that despite her darkness of a character, we're able to also expand our understanding of that darkness within someone and the reason behind it. I love her. I really care so much about her, and I feel like it's my job to take care of her and protect her." She, however, gave little other details about her character.
Shin Hati will be one of the leading antagonists in the upcoming Ahsoka series, which will be released in August.
