Star Wars has always been an amazing story that is told throughout many engaging adventures. Although fans can relive the amazing adventures through the many films and series, there is no better way than creating your own adventure through a video game. Here are ten video games any Star Wars fan should play:

10 - SW: ARCADE (1983)

This wonderful arcade game takes place in the times of the Empire, and follows the events of the original trilogy, up to the events of Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back. The game is a solid adventure with an engaging story in which one can play as an X-wing pilot.

9 - SW: TRILOGY ARCADE (1998)

Like its predecessor, the Trilogy Arcade game takes place within the times of the Empire. It follows all the events of the original trilogy. This game feels extremely satisfying for players, as its cinematics and sound reproduction made its players feel connected to the three original films.

8 - SW: DARK FORCES (1995)

This PC game introduced fans to the character Kyle Katarn, who was a very important character for Legends. Dark Forces also introduced the first inclusion of Dark Troopers, who were brought back to canon in season two of The Mandalorian.

7 - SW: ARCADE RACER (2000)

This amazing arcade game, which takes place within the times of the Galactic Republic, follows the events of the Tatooine podrace. The arcade machine itself looked like Anakin’s podracer, and operated like such. This game was a fun and thrilling experience that made fans feel like they were in the actual Pod race.

6 - SW: REPUBLIC COMMANDO (2005)

Republic Commando, to this day, is considered one of the best games in Star Wars history. Set in the times of the Clone Wars, Republic Commando follows Delta Squad, who are canon thanks to an episode of The Clone Wars season 3.

5 - SW: JEDI FALLEN ORDER (2019)

Jedi: Fallen Order feels a lot like The Force Unleashes, but it follows the amazing journey of Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis as he recovers from the tragic events of Order 66. The game feels like an open world game, and it has amazing visuals that take the player into a whole new experience. Jedi: Fallen Order also explains many mysteries about the Force as it connects the prequel era to the beginnings of the Empire era.

4 - SW: ROGUE SQUADRON 2: ROGUE LEADER (2001)

This amazing GameCube game, was one of the best introductions of the old trilogy to kids during the 2000s. This game was a vehicle-based conflict, where we as players, played through events of the original trilogy, as pilots for the Rebellion.

3 - SW: VADER IMMORTAL VR SERIES (2019)

This amazing story was a follow-up to the Secrets of the Empire VR experience, created by The Void. Taking place in the era of the Empire, this amazing VR story follows Darth Vader, while he finds several amazing secrets only known to ancient Sith. This game also connects to The Rise of Skywalker, as it shows how the planet Mustafar healed. This canon story is one of the most interactive and darkest stories ever made for Star Wars.

2 - SW: TIE FIGHTER (1994)

Many Star Wars games in the past featured Rebel pilots who fought against the Empire. But what about the fans who were loyal to the Empire? TIE Fighter allowed people to play through many adventures as a TIE Fighter pilot, introducing players to many awesome Imperial vehicles.

1 -SW: KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC (2003)

Even with the amazing graphics and storylines of today’s Star Wars games, Knights of the Old Republic I and II are still considered the best Star Wars games ever created. This game was not only one of the darkest games to ever exist, but also introduced us to the Old Republic era, a few thousand years before the Skywalker saga. This game was our first video game introduction to an era where the Sith and Jedi were at large and at war with each other.

These video games are not only amazing pieces of Star Wars history, but also some of the best games to ever be released. The many adventures that are told in these video games are proof of why fans need to play this games, if they haven’t already.
