Helldivers 2 likely tops many video game industry lists for Game of the Year contender. From its launch in February, it has seen incredible success. There were some hiccups with the bugginess and the kerfuffle with Sony and needing a PSN account to continue playing, but the game continues to thrive.

Now, through the efforts of modder ToastedShoes and his team, PC players can look forward to the inclusion of Star Wars skins. In a post linked to their YouTube channel, ToastedShoes goes over the mod currently in production. It shows off well-known characters from The Clone Wars like members of Clone Force 99, otherwise known as The Bad Batch, as well as Captain Rex, Commander Cody, and more as player skins, as well as the mainstay Republic drop ships, while the Destroyers in orbit become Venator-Class Star Destroyers.

Enemy skins were shown as well, as droids, but they were restricted to the Automatons, obviously. Automaton units like the Berserker received the Sentry Droid (Jedi Survivor) makeover, complete with Imperial insignias. The Scout Striders become AT-RTs.

The mod still has some work to go on it, making sure it works and possibly bringing in other elements from Star Wars, like blaster shots instead of bullets, but it has already generated a lot of interest among the Helldivers community, and fans can’t wait for it to release.
