Helen Mirren Tells Graham Norton That The Story For The DC Studios Movie 'Shazam! Fury Of The Gods' Is Too Complicated For Her
The wait is nearly over for the Shazam! sequel’s release. The film follows Billy Batson and his foster siblings as they are called back into the fray to face the Daughters of Atlas, played by Helen Mirren, Rachel Zegler, and Lucy Liu. In an interview on the UK-based chat show, The Graham Norton Show, Mirren gave some amusing and a bit relatable insight on their roles in the film.
The plot of superhero movies tends to be pretty lore-heavy, making things difficult to follow at times. Regarding her character and the sisters’ role in the plot, Mirren said, "Don't ask me about the plot, it's too complicated." She proceeded to describe the sisters as “very cross” because “their powers have been taken” by Shazam.

Confusion doesn’t matter when one is passionate about what they’re doing. Mirren said, “I wanted to do it because I loved the first 'Shazam!' It was sweet and funny… I loved the idea of it and happily signed up for the second one.” Passion can generate a lot of outcomes. Mirren also revealed that she tried to do most of her stunts in the following statement:
“I did some of my own stunts, but I broke my finger. I was incredibly brave and didn't say anything or complain because I wanted to be a real 'stunty' person”
Shazam! Fury of the Gods hits theaters on March 17! The franchise’s future under the new DCEU is still to be seen, but there seems to be some hope of continuation.
