Gotta Go Fast A Release Date For 'Sonic Origins Plus' Has Been Announced For June 23rd

Sonic Origins is getting more content in the new expansion, Sonic Origins Plus. The expansion has plenty of new features, such as new challenge modes, 12 new Game Gear titles, and Knuckles and Amy Rose now being playable in the Genesis and SEGA CD titles. 

The 12 Game Gear titles include Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Sonic Blast, Sonic Chaos, Sonic Drift, Sonic Drift 2, Sonic Labyrinth, Sonic Spinball, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble, Tails Adventure, and Tails' Sky Patrol. Several of these titles have previously only been available either in the GameCube version of Sonic Adventure DX or Sonic Gems Collection if available at all outside of their original release on the Game Gear. There is no word on the replaced music for Sonic the Hedgehog 3&Knuckles.

Sonic Origins Plus is set to speed on to all major home consoles on June 23rd of this year, just in time for Sonic's 32nd birthday. The physical version will cost $40, but owners of the digital version can upgrade to the Plus version for only $10. With the recent DLC release for Sonic Frontiers and this new content for Sonic Origins, Sonic fans sure have a lot to celebrate in 2023.
