Ubisoft has been in the news quite a bit lately, and not necessarily in a good way. It’s been less than two months since Star Wars: Outlaws was released, and it only just crept past the one-millions-sold mark. On top of that, and likely partly due to Outlaw’s bad sales, they announced a delay of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. But wait, there’s more. There’s word that the Guillemot family and Tencent are looking to take the company private because of their declining market share.

Still, despite all this, they’re not giving up on Outlaws. The other day, Ubisoft released the first of a planned series of updates and fixes for the game that has plagued it since it was released. Titled “Title Update 2”, it addresses several issues facing the game.

RELATED:

One of the most prominent fixes deals with the game’s buggy AI detection. The game involves a bit of stealth, allowing players to sneak around (you almost have to with how weak Kay is at the beginning). The problem arises from enemy detection. Players have complained of being seen through walls, in tall grass, etc. Title Update 2 is supposed to address that.

Another major update deals with the speeder. The speeder is the main mode of transportation to cross some of the rather large maps. It’s not the easiest thing to handle, and its clunky controls and speed cause numerous crashes, tossing the player and subtracting from their life meter. The update addresses that as well.

There is a long list of fixes and updates in the patch notes, from performance fixes and crash fixes to UI updates.
