First Look At Hawkeye's New Outfit

Clint Barton A.K.A Hawkeye has been around since the first Avengers film, released back in 2012. Played by Jeremy Renner, he managed to convey the character so well, he has become a firm fan favorite ever since.

However, much like Scarlet Johanssen's Black Widow, he seemed doomed to consistently remain very much an additional part of the team up films and not get much of the spotlight to himself. This did change slightly in the later Avengers films as we did get to learn some more of his present day circumstances, including the fact he has a secret family. Just not what happened leading up to that point.

With Phase 4 well and truly underway, it seems Marvel is revisiting some of the previously sidelined characters and to great success. Scarlet Witch got WandaVision while Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes got The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, both of which have turned out to be huge success stories for Marvel. We even have the Black Widow film coming eventually, so it was only a matter of time before fans wanted the same treatment for Hawkeye, and now we are getting it.

Set for release in the later half of 2021, Hawkeye will apparently focus on Clint's backstory as well as catch us up to the present. If rumors are to be believed, his family will make a reappearance and, perhaps the most exciting prospect, we may even get to see him during his time as Ronin in the 5-year gap between the first snap by Thanos and Black Widow asking him to rejoin the team to reverse it.

One of the big problems with a lot of Superheroes is their outfits from the comics. Not all of them translate well to the big screen, and it seems Barton fell victim to this. Throughout his appearances, his outfits have been pretty basic and a far cry from his outlandish purple get up from the comics. However, Marvel seem to be looking to rectify this as well thanks to a set photo posted on Twitter.

The photo was uploaded on the Marvel News page (@BRMarvelNews) and depicts Renner with co star Alaqua Cox, who will play skilled assassin Echo, with him sporting an outfit so much closer to his comic counterpart, complete with classic purple coloring.

This would seem to follow the recurring theme set in WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, as both shows ended with their respective characters getting a wardrobe update, closer to their own comic book counterparts, just a little more screen-friendly.

As with everything from Marvel, the plot details are being kept under wraps. A lot of what we know is based on rumors, except for the fact that a fan favorite comic character and fellow archer, Kate Bishop, will appear in the show played by Hailee Steinfield.

Fans have been very vocal regarding their feelings on how Hawkeye has been portrayed so far in the MCU, so this new show has a chance to deliver something better. We may even get to see some of the bigger Hawkeye storylines from the comics, like when he lost his hearing and needed hearing aids. This was a huge moment in building his character. With it being set for release at the later end of 2021, we should hopefully be seeing some sort of trailer any day now.

As always, we shall keep you posted with any new developments as they happen.

Until next time!
