First Blade Runner Game In 25 Years, 'Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth' Gets A Trailer
An exciting new video game called Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth is on the horizon. It's a single-player adventure game that takes place fourteen years after the events of the first Blade Runner movie. Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth was developed and published by Annapurna Interactive in conjunction with Alcon Entertainment. In the first film, Deckard is the main character who is later compelled by his former police superior to pursue replicants once again. Deckard’s assignment is to end four escaped replicants. Unfortunately, the pursued replicants have returned to Earth. Before Deckard starts the job, he goes to the Tyrell Corporation to meet Rachel. Rachel is key as she is a replicant girl that Deckard would fall in love with.
The upcoming Blade Runner game is set eleven years after the Blackout. The Blackout was an unprecedented electricity blackout that affected Los Angeles for ten days in May 2022. A group of terrorists planned to destroy the servers hosting the Tyrell Corporation's database of registered replicants. The Blade Runners have organized to track down and neutralize replicants. The grimmest fate for any replicant is being retired by an agent. The main focus of the game is about being a Blade Runner during a time when there are no replicants to hunt. The game is set to launch on both console and PC with no set release date.
