Ewan McGregor To Be Honored With Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Three years ago, it was announced that Ewan McGregor would be given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the induction ceremony has finally been scheduled for Thursday, September 12 at 11:30 AM PST. The ceremony will occur next to Disney’s El Capitan Theater on Hollywood Boulevard. The event will be live-streamed on the official Walk of Fame website. The ceremony will feature speeches from Mike Mills and, more importantly for Star Wars fans, Hayden Christen, who portrayed Anakin Skywalker alongside Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi in several Star Wars projects including Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Other Star Wars alums who were previously announced as fellow inductees alongside McGregor in 2021 include the late Carrie Fisher, who portrayed Princess/General Leia Organa in the original and sequel Star Wars film trilogies, and Ming-Na Wen, who has portrayed bounty hunter Fennec Shand in several Star Wars projects including The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, and The Book of Boba Fett. The Hollywood Walk of Fame encompasses multiple blocks around the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Los Angeles. The Hollywood Walk of Fame includes names of actors, musicians, directors, radio personalities, and more selected by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to receive one of the most prestigious achievement awards the entertainment industry offers.
