Donald Glover Has Confirmed That He Is In Talks To Play Lando Calrissian Again

During an interview with GQ magazine, Donald Glover talked about his most iconic characters. He took us down memory lane, highlighting his work in Community, Atlanta, his work as Childish Gambino, and his role as Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Before he started playing Lando, Donald mentioned he once met with Billy Dee Williams and asked him how he should play the character. After exchanging some stories, Glover asked Billy Dee for direction; the latter telling him “Just be charming. That’s the secret.”

Donald Glover took this to heart when playing the character, in his words; “Lando is like charm incarnate. He is kind of a maverick”. He did an amazing job portraying the future Baron-Administrator, with all the charisma he is known and loved for.
The actor continues saying he would love to play Lando again; it just needs to be the right time. Thanks to the pandemic, he thinks everyone has learned to value their time more, including him. “I am not interested in doing anything that’s just gonna be a waste of my time or just a paycheck.”
He finishes by saying “We are talking about it. That's as much as I can say without Kathleen Kennedy hunting me down”. While that statement is less than clear, a future appearance of Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian is possible. The only question now is whether it will be in the Lando series that is in the works or in a different story about our favorite chaotic galaxy.
