When Disney+ first hit the market, one of its major selling points was having all the Marvel Cinematic Universe films together in one place. However, that plan was complicated by Sony’s ownership of the Spider-Man character. Last year, the two companies found some common ground and Sony agreed to release some of its movies to the Disney+ streaming platform.

All three of Toby Maguire’s Spider-Man movies are currently available on the platform, along with The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield. On April 20, the Disney+ Twitter account announced the arrival of these movies, along with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. Additionally, Tom Hardy’s Venom will debut on the streaming service on May 12. Sony’s deal involves a multi-year release of its theatrical-release films from 2022 to 2026. After their theatrical runs, the movies will detour to Netflix before finally arriving on Disney+.

This is the first step toward having the entire MCU available in one place, as it seems likely that Far From Home and No Way Home will eventually make their way onto the streaming platform. This deal doesn’t stop with the web-slinger though; fans may find an extra dose of Tom Holland if Uncharted finds its way to Disney+.
