Disappointment For ‘Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League’ Season 2 On Steam
We were all so excited about it.
In what has widely been received as the most disappointing Batman thing in a long time, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was highly anticipated at the time of release. On top of being set in the beloved “Arkhamverse” it was also one of the final portrayals of Batman by the beloved Kevin Conroy. This game had everything going for it.
Then it came out.
And it was released to the resounding sound of thousands of fans being disappointed. Active players peaked at only around 13,000, and the numbers only went down from there. There was some hope from the developers that the release of Season 2 would improve things, and it had new story twists and characters. It didn’t, though. Nobody cared. At its peak, there were less than six hundred active players for Season 2. Looking at the numbers now, there are just over three hundred. For reference, Call of Duty: World at War, a game that came out almost 20 years ago and could hardly be called the most memorable COD game, has over five hundred.
Is there anything that the developers can do to turn things around? Probably not at this point, especially with the $70-$100 price tag. They’ve given the game away for free at times, but it’s not helping. There are two more seasons to go, but, to utilize understatement, the numbers don’t look promising.
