Developer Of 'Star Wars: KOTOR' Remake Has Split From Embracer Group
In a $500 million deal, Saber Interactive and several of its owned studios will no longer be owned by Embracer Group. In a time when Embracer has cancelled games, closed studios, and seen massive layoffs at others, this deal keeps Saber and the Knights of the Old Republic remake from suffering the same fate.
Matthew Karch is co-founder of Saber Interactive, along with the owner of its new parent company, the private investor group Beacon Interactive. The studios that Saber’s new parent company owns are 3D Realms, 4A Studios, Fractured Byte, Mad Head Games, New World Interactive, Nimble Giant, Sandbox Strategies, Slipgate Ironworks, and Zen Studios.
