'Deadpool & Wolverine' Starts Hot With $96 Million Opening Box Office And $200 Million Worldwide
Deadpool & Wolverine is the newest MCU movie to be released, and it features the return of Deadpool with the addition of Wolverine. It also serves as Deadpool’s official inauguration into the MCU. Recently, Marvel movies have been struggling in the theaters, but that is not the case for Deadpool & Wolverine.
The third film in the Deadpool franchise exceeded expectations and made $96 million on opening day, which includes Thursday night previews. This lands on the list as the sixth-biggest opening day ever. The three-day estimate has been revised, and is the movie is now estimated to make between $195-205 million at the weekend box office. It is too soon to see how much the movie will make in total, though it’s on track to be the eighth or ninth biggest domestic opening ever. That top-10 list is comprised of PG-13 movies, so an R-rated movie making the list would be impressive.
