With the current expansion of the DC universe, it’s only natural that one of its series, Creature Commandos, is receiving great news. Visually standing out from other animated shows with its unique vintage comic-style animation, Creature Commandos will captivate viewers and fans for another season. Described by Variety‘s Alison Herman as “playful and irreverent as most load-bearing franchise entrants”, its positive acclaim during its December 5 premiere promises to bring more adventures reminiscent of Suicide Squad. Born from the creative and wild mind of James Gunn, it’s no wonder that Creature Commandos is a new series that is creating a massive presence on Gunn’s X/Twitter page. He declared “even more” monsters with the release of the second season and the release of the first season finale on January 9, streaming on Max.

The release of episodes weekly rather than all episodes of the season released at once allows fans to still catch up with other shows associated with the DC universe, such as The Penguin and Peacemaker, series which were also given wide and positive acclaim. Warner Bros. Animation executive Peter Girardi states, “Thanks to the brilliant imagination of James and the talent of our amazing artists, DC fans fell in love with this new family of heroes.” This “family of heroes” includes Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Alan Tuydk as Doctor Phosphorus, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana, and much more.

DC fans eagerly await the promise of “even more” monsters for the second season of Creature Commando and wait on bated breath for the news of a verified release date.
