DC Drops First Trailer For The Upcoming 'Creature Commandos' Animated Series
The DC Comics Jim Lee & Friends panel at San Diego Comic-Con provided the first look at the upcoming adult animated series Creature Commandos. President, Publisher, and Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics, Jim Lee, welcomed to the stage DC Studio’s Co-Chair and CEO James Gunn to present the teaser trailer for the seven-episode series arriving on Max this December.
James Gunn has written the series, and will also executive produce it. Creature Commandos pulls from various DC Comics characters, creating a team of monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. Other executive producers of the series include Peter Safran, Dean Lorey, and Sam Register, with Rick Morales serving as a supervising producer.

The series will feature many known names voicing the characters, with Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus and Indira Varma as The Bride. Steve Agee voices Economos, David Harbour voices Frankenstein, Maria Bakalova voices Princess Ilana, Sean Gunn voices GI Robot & Weasel, Anya Chalotra voices Circe, Frank Grillo voices Rick Flag Sr., and Zoe Chao voices Nina Mazursky. The character of Amanda Waller, who brings the team together, has been brought across from the DCEU. Viola Davis reprises the role.
Creature Commandos is set to be the first series as part of the first chapter in the new DC Universe, Gods and Monsters. And indeed, the first piece of media within this chapter, when it arrives on Max December 2024.
