Daredevil Will Make An Appearance In 'Spider-Man: Freshman Year' According To Marvel Animation At SDCC
There’s no shortage of Spider-Man news at the Comic-Con. Although fans were disappointed in the lack of the trailer, they received an exciting first look at the Disney+ series. Pictures released at the event showed designs of Peter Parker in his street clothes and the prototype for the homemade suit.
The biggest reveal was the image of Daredevil confirmed to be voiced by Charlie Cox. Norman Osborn, Dr. Octavius, and Doctor Strange are confirmed to appear in the series along with Nico Minoru, a member of the Runaways, Lonnie Lincoln, Amadeus Cho, and Harry Osborn.

Now, this raises a few continuity questions. Spider-Man: Freshman Year takes place before Captain America: Civil War and was thought to be in the main MCU timeline. However, Peter doesn’t meet Doctor Strange until Infinity War. Dr. Octavius meets the MCU Spider-Man for the first time in No Way Home while Matt Murdoch is busy defending Peter from Mysterio’s accusations. It’s possible Spider-Man met Daredevil and never learned the true identity of the man behind the mask but the presence of the others seems to prevent this series from taking place in the main MCU, short of some multiversal or memory-wiping shenanigans.
The series releases on the Disney+ streaming platform in 2024. The series has already been confirmed for a second season called Spider-Man: Sophomore Year. Tom Holland will not be returning to voice the character.
