'Daredevil: Born Again' Set Photos Reveal New Look At Bullseye and Daredevil's Suits
Daredevil: Born Again recently resumed filming after a months-long hiatus caused first by the writers’/actors strike and later by a complete overhaul by Marvel, which caused the replacement of the original writers and directors.
Now new photos from the set have leaked showing the new costumes of the titular man without fear (played again by Charlie Cox) and one of his main antagonists, Benjamin "Dex" Poindexter, with Wilson Bethel reprising the role of Bullseye from the original Netflix series:
RELATED:
The scene from the set photos has Matt Murdock and his friends Foggy Nelson (played by Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) leave Josie’s Bar, with Murdock quickly disappearing, probably because he sensed the approach of Bullseye and wanted to turn into Daredevil.
When Bullseye aims (presumably) at Foggy and Karen, he is attacked by Daredevil.
The hero's costume is similar to the one he wore in the original Netflix series. The yellow and red colors from She-Hulk are gone, replaced by an all-red suit, but with a brighter tone, probably to bring it in line with Daredevil's recent comic appearances. But unlike in the print version, the suit is missing the big DD logo on the chest. The creators of the series’ probably believe that an unpretentious man like Matt Murdock would not waste time and effort on such a vanity, as everyone already knows the alias of the hero from Hell's Kitchen.
Bullseye’s purple suit, including the fabric face mask, is more a tactical uniform than a typical superhero costume. It resembles Marco Chechetto's and Chip Zdarsky's recent redesign of the character's look from the comic books but strangely lacks the classic Bullseye logo on the forehead.
Aside from Cox, Henson, Wolf, and Bethel, Jon Bernthal will reprise his role of Frank Castel / Punisher, and Vincent D'Onofrio will return as Wilson Fisk / Kingpin after his recent appearance in the Hawkeye spin-off Echo. Fisk’s wife Vanessa is played by Sandrine Holt, who replaces Ayelet Zurer from the Netflix series.
Daredevil: Bone Again is set for a release in late 2025 / early 2026 on Disney+.
