'Cyberpunk 2077' Will Return To Television With A Live-Action Series
Style and imagination are gracing screens once again. More than a successful franchise, the Cyberpunk universe can continue its success and favor after the launch of Cyperpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion. Luckily, fans of Cyberpunk 2077 won’t have to wait long before seeing the dystopian Night City again. According to Toussaint Egan, writer for Polygon, developer CD Projekt Red announced that they are working on a live-action TV series set in Mike Pondsmith’s dark futuristic tabletop Role Playing Game.
Posted on Radek PGA’s X page, he confirms “CD PROJEKT RED has begun a collaboration with global media company Anonymous Content”. Anonymous Content, known for its previous works such as True Detective and Mr. Robot, will now have Cyperpunk 2077 to add to its filmography.

Little is known about the central plot of the series and its characters at this time. Anonymous Content Studios’ Head of Television Garret Kemble, Director of Development Ryan Schwartz, and Chief Creative Officer David Levine will oversee the Cyberpunk 2077 production. As a successful franchise, the Cyberpunk Universe can ensure its continuous success by producing more spinoffs and expanding across different mediums. One can hope that at some point, Keanu Reeves might reappear as Johnny Silverhand.
