Could The X-Men Be Returning In 'The Marvels'? A Trailer Seems To Tease Their Appearance
Fans began anticipating the X-Men to be brought into the MCU last year when the season finale of Ms. Marvel openly used the word “mutant” when referring to Kamala’s gifts, so where better to make that introduction than in the sequel to Captain Marvel? The latest trailer for The Marvels suggests just that. In the short clip, fans hear, “There’s a different reality bleeding into ours.” The lingering question is, whose reality? Additionally, text appears over the footage that says, “BE THERE” “FOR WHAT” “COMES NEXT.” The “X” in “NEXT” is the last letter to fade out. Could that brief lingering “X” be but a coincidence?
It could be coincidental, but the internet is buzzing at the prospect of seeing beloved vital players from the X-Men franchise on the big screen once again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and arguably, The Marvels is the perfect opportunity to make that happen. In an interview, Director Nia DaCosta said that the movie is “full comic book madness,” teasing even further the possibilities the film is capable of. The teaser trailer ends with Nick Fury’s voice saying, “They're here.” Fans can find out who Fury is talking about when The Marvels hit theaters on November 10!
