As soon as the third installment of Deadpool was announced to feature Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine, the internet has been clamoring for details on how Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will fit into the MCU canon of films. Will he wear a more comic-accurate suit than what was seen in past films? Now, fans can rejoice as Ryan Reynolds posted early today on Instagram a picture of himself alongside Jackman, who is wearing a yellow and black, somewhat comic-accurate suit.

Jackman is returning to the role after an almost six-year retirement from the role, last donning the claws for 2017’s Logan. Reynolds’ photo drop comes days after news broke that Jennifer Garner is on the call sheet as Elektra, her role from 2003’s Daredevil film which starred Ben Affleck.

The third film’s script is being kept under lock and key, but as Disney moved up the movie release date from November 8, 2024, to May 3, 2024, fans can only imagine what multiversal foes the Merc with the Mouth and Agent 10 will face in the new MCU Universe.

Shawn Levy helms the director’s chair for this third effort in the Deadpool franchise. The script was written by Reynolds, Levy, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Zeb Wells. The current cast has a few newcomers listed, such as Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen, alongside the returning cast of Morena Baccarin, Stefan Kapicic, and Rob Delaney.

Deadpool 3 lands in theatres on May 3, 2024.
