Bruce Vaughn Returns To Disney Imagineering As Chief Creative Officer This Month

Deadline reports Bruce Vaughn is returning to co-lead Walt Disney Imagineering alongside Barbara Bouza as the chief creative officer. Barbara Bouza will serve as president of the storied division. In 2016, Vaughn left Disney to become the CEO and CCO of the virtual reality firm Dreamscape Immersive. From there, he went to Airbnb as the Experiential Creative Product Team lead. Vaughn will begin his role at Disney on March 20.

The chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products said of Vaughn returning to the company, “The Walt Disney Company, fueled by thousands of innovators and creative storytellers, has transformed the entertainment industry for the past 100 years. I am proud to have the dynamic team of Barbara Bouza, and Bruce Vaughn at the helm of Walt Disney Imagineering as Disney Parks Experiences and Products continues to focus on investing in creativity and developing new experiences around the world.”

The Imagineering department of The Walt Disney Company focuses on creating, designing, and constructing all Disney parks and attractions. According to Deadline, Vaughn said of his return, “I’ve remained an Imagineer at heart, so I’m thrilled to join Barbara and reunite with this phenomenal global team of creators and innovators during this pivotal time.”
