Both 'Ahsoka' And 'The Mandalorian' Place In IMDb's Top 10 Shows Of 2023

IMDb has released its list of the best films and TV shows of 2023, and Star Wars has a lot to celebrate: both The Mandalorian and Ahsoka dominate the top 10 worldwide.
The rankings are based on IMDb page views and split into viewing territories. The Mandalorian Season 3 trumps Ahsoka in most geographical areas, with the ever-popular Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror normally taking the number 1 spot. Strangely, The Mandalorian does not appear in the ‘Best TV Show’ list voted by members of the same site. Ahsoka still makes it into the top 10, coming in at number 6.

Disney must be thrilled that, worldwide, engagement with the general public is high. Filoni’s ‘Mandoverse’ has a massive reach. Although the animations released in 2023 (The Bad Batch Season 2 and Star Wars Visions Volume 2) received critical acclaim, they were unfortunately overlooked by IMDb.
There’s no doubt that Disney has produced some quality content for Star Wars this year. It feels like the saga is in safe hands now David Filoni has been named the Chief Creative Director of LucasFilm. Filoni will be aiming to continue the winning streak with Skeleton Crew and The Acolyte, due to be released in 2024.
