Bethesda Updates Fans About The Future Of 'Starfield' Including Its First DLC
Since the release of Starfield in September, gamers have rapidly taken to it. With 13 million players and an overall two billion planets visited in-game, it has done very well. The end of the year is approaching, and Bethesda has teased new updates and content moving forward. In a blog post on Bethesda’s website, the developer outlined some details of what’s coming in 2024!
Their update schedule is aiming for every six weeks starting in February. Those in the Steam Beta branch will be able to test the updates early, and players can still join! From expanded ship customization to new travel methods and so much more, the coming updates will act as an overall improvement to the game. The blog post gave brief details regarding specific updates as well.

Starfield is finally getting official mod support. It will be called Creations, and when the exporter drops, players will have access to the Creation Kit. The Shattered Space DLC is coming later in the year, the first of its kind for the game. It will bring new story pieces, new places to travel, and more. Finally, new game modes are coming. They will allow the player to change the difficulty of the game, and subsequently adjust what you’re able to do.
Starfield was released on September 6, 2023. It is a sci-fi roleplay game with single-player capabilities. Set in 2330, humanity has abandoned the Earth in favor of living across the galaxy, settling in an area named the Settled Systems. You, as the player, discover an alien artifact and meet a group called Constellation, explorers who want to discover what else is out there when the rest of society has given up on exploring. While hunting for more artifacts, you can traverse the massive planets and travel throughout the galaxy. It is available on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
