'Batman Arkham' Game Series To Return
It’s a bit of an understatement to say that the Batman Arkham series was a success. The original, Arkham Asylum, released in 2009, just a year after the massive hit that was The Dark Knight, and alongside that movie, really brought Batman to the forefront of most iconic superheroes.
We’d never really seen a game like Arkham Asylum before, and it received such high acclaim that it won the Guinness Book of World Records award for highest rated superhero game of all time. Two sequels and a prequel would follow, though the prequel was not developed by the original studio, Rocksteady.
And… it kind of shows.

That might be the case here.
DC boss James Gunn has stated multiple times that he hopes that Suicide Squad would not be the last game in the series, which is a relief. Hopefully we get something as good as the Arkham games, even if we might need to wait a while, and not something mediocre like Gotham Knights. Only time will tell, of course, but right now, it seems like Batman hasn’t put his cowl on for the last time.
