'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty' Has Acquired 'Loki' Writer Michael Waldron
After a masterful conclusion of his streaming-exclusive show Loki, Michael Waldron was hired as the newest writer for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. As creator of Loki and head writer for the first season, Waldron has a lot of potential within the MCU to develop compelling stories that defeat the preconceived ideas of what a superhero film or series looks like nowadays. With its recent mishaps, Marvel needs its best minds working on its biggest projects if they hope to create movies that once again break (positive) records and capture the audience the way they used to.
The sequel to the Avengers saga will be released on May 1, 2026, giving the writers plenty of time to come up with an entertaining storyline. Additionally, Michael Waldron was already set to write Avengers: Secret Wars, which gives him a little more control over both sequels’ storylines and their continuity, if that is the route they will take. Waldron’s perspective could bring a fresh look to both films, making them compelling and memorable to the audience, just as Loki was from start to finish.
