One of the most important moments in The Lord Of The Rings trilogy is when Aragorn gets his sword, Narsil, from Elrond in Return Of The King. Fans know the sword was broken and in pieces in Rivendell until Elrond fixed it and presented it to Aragorn when he needed it most. It only makes sense that we finally see the iconic sword in the season 2 finale of The Rings Of Power, and of course, it’s wielded by none other than his ancestor, Elendil.

During the season 2 finale, Elendil and Miriel share a moment together in her quarters before Elendil leaves the city to avoid execution. Before he leaves, Miriel gifts him the sword Narsil. The scene when he first reveals it is very reminiscent of when Aragorn wields the sword before battle.

According to Tolkien's lore, Narsil was forged during the First Age by a Dwarf smith named Telchar of Nogrod. When the elves reforged the sword for Aragorn, it was renamed Anduril, or the Flame Of The West.

It’s safe to assume that fans will see Isildur before the series ends. As fans know, Isildur uses the shattered blade of Narsil to cut off Sauron's finger and free the One Ring. However, Isildur could not destroy the ring, which eventually led to the events of The Lord Of The Rings. Since the show is planned for five seasons, it might be a bit until we see Isildur wield the iconic weapon, but at least it’s currently in his father’s grasp.
