Anthony Ramos Confirms Filming Has Started On 'Ironheart' On His Instagram
We were in “the room where it happened…” Well, maybe not, but we are excited just the same. Anthony Ramos of the hit Broadway musical Hamilton has been confirmed as joining the cast of the highly anticipated upcoming six-episode Disney+ mini-series – Ironheart. Ramos’ rise to stardom has been steady since Hamilton He had a leading role in In the Heights and is expected to be seen again in Paramount’s Transformers: Rise of the Beasts according to Comicbook.com. The actor confirmed himself on an Instagram Live that he had his first official day of shooting and that it went well, however it has not yet been disclosed which part he will play.
There is much speculation about the role Ramos is likely to play. Comicbook.com suggests that he may fit the role of The Hood which would “give a sense of mysticism to an otherwise technologically-based series.” The Direct offers an exciting alternative possibility – could Ramos’ character be a mutant? After all, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness cracked the door for the X-Men franchise to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the inclusion of Patrick Stewart’s Professor Charles Xavier while the exciting season finale of Ms. Marvel busted the door wide by using the word “mutant” for the first time; insinuating that Kamala could be connected to the X-Men. Of course, for now, this is all just fun speculation. ScreenRant reports that casting at this time does not indicate that Robert Downy Jr. will be lending his voice as Riri’s AI, which of course fans would love 3,000 if he did! It will be interesting to see how Marvel plays with that given how much we all loved Jarvis.

Ramos’ Live Stream showcased genuine excitement for his part in the filming saying – “We started shooting Marvel… shit fire. Yesterday was my first day. It went well. Shit about to be crazy.”
Ironheart will be a great addition to the MCU with lots of talent and fresh new faces joining the team. Fans will be excited to see Dominque Thorn and Anthony Ramos along with the rest of the cast with an expected release to Disney+ in 2023.
