'Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania' Gets A Release Date For Disney+ Debut
Marvel fans can look forward to returning to the quantum realm on May 17 as Disney confirms the Disney+ release date for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The release date is 89 after the film’s release in theatres. The third Ant-Man film stars Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Jonathan Majors and is one of the most poorly reviewed films from Marvel Studios. Peyton Reed returned to helm the director’s chair with Kevin Feige and Stephen Broussard as producers. The film performed well on its opening weekend earning $106 million but experienced close to a 70% drop in moviegoers between the first and second weekends. The film earned $474.5 million globally, which unfortunately made it the first post-pandemic MCU film to lose money for the too-big-to-fail studio.
Regarding fans seeing Paul Rudd return to the role for a sixth time, producer Stephen Broussard confirmed a fourth Ant-Man film is currently being discussed, saying, “We’re already thinking about it…I don’t want to say anything about specifically what those are, but yeah, you can’t help yourself. Those conversations, those whispers have already started to happen between myself and [Ant-Man series director] Peyton [Reed] and [Marvel Studios president] Kevin [Feige].
