Another 'Supernatural' Alum, Jefferey Dean Morgan, Has Been Cast For Season 4 Of 'The Boys' In A Recurring Role
Jefferey Dean Morgan will be coming to The Boys in a recurring role for season 4, according to TVLine. Showrunner Eric Kripke has worked with Morgan before on The CW's Supernatural. With that in mind, the reunion makes a lot of sense, considering that Jensen Ackles played a role in season 3 of the show. Sadly it seems that the two are unlikely to have a reunion themselves.
But for fans of both shows, this should be a moment to rejoice. When Jefferey Dean Morgan was on Supernatural, he played Sam and Dean's father and was a fan favorite early in the show. With Morgan's work on The Walking Dead as Neegan, the casting options for his role are all over the place. Especially since Amazon has kept Jefferey Dean Morgan's role close to the chest, all we have is speculation.
However, fans should be surprised the role is confirmed. In May of this year, Jensen Ackles spoke with Entertainment Weekly on the subject stating, “I don’t know exactly what was in the works for that, but I know that there were some preliminary conversations of how and what and when and why that just didn’t work out with Jeff’s schedule.” He went on to add, “He’s a busy man, and everybody wants him to come on their show.”
No matter what role in The Boys Jefferey Dean Morgan takes on, it is bound to be a top-notch performance. He has been a powerhouse with his work on The Walking Dead. Which, lead to his role continuing its spinoff show The Walking Dead: Dead City coming in 2023.
