Continuing its trend of sequels, Hollywood is set to make a significant move. Hasbro Entertainment announced a groundbreaking deal with Sony's TriStar Pictures and Sony Pictures Television. The deal? It is a remake of the 1985 film Clue, a cinematic adaptation of the iconic board game. This news has sparked a wave of anticipation and excitement among movie enthusiasts and fans of the original, marking a significant moment in the entertainment industry. 

Zeve Foreman and Gabriel Marano, the creative minds behind this project, have expressed their confidence in Sony as the perfect partner for this adaptation. They believe that Sony, their creative collaborators Nicole Brown and Katherine Pope, and their teams are the ideal partners to tackle the mystery of Clue after 75 years.

The 1985 cult classic film starring Tim Curry, Madeline Khan, and Christopher Lloyd was the most successful adaptation of the Hasbro intellectual property. Other projects were attempted over the years, with one attaching Marvel Studio’s Deadpool actor, Ryan Reynolds.

The board game, a beloved classic that has stood the test of time, has been a staple of entertainment for over a century, selling over 150 million copies worldwide. For those unfamiliar with the game, players are designated characters who embark on a mystery after a dinner party to determine who killed the party’s host, Mr. Boddy.
