Marvel’s ‘She-Hulk’ Release Date Surfaces Online

We have a leaked release date for Marvel's She-Hulk! Disney+ UK sent out a blog post this morning detailing what Marvel shows Disney+ currently has to offer, and what to look forward to. It seems a small piece of information might have been leaked in the said blog post (which, unsurprisingly, has all but been removed). The streaming platform lets it slip that She-Hulk will be premiering on August 17th, 2022. In their leak, they also gave a bit of a synopsis about what we can expect to see from the exciting new Marvel show.

The post that contained the leak and extra information is still up, but the details regarding She-Hulk are not. Disney+ was quick to remove any telling information regarding the series and almost completely removed it as is. However, the internet is faster. You can read the series description that had been posted along with the date of release down below:

“This new comedy series sees Bruce Banner help his cousin, Jennifer Walters, when she needs an emergency blood transfusion and guess what? She receives his powers too. Tatiana Maslany will play Jennifer, who is a lawyer specializing in superhuman-oriented legal cases. Mark Ruffalo is back as the Hulk alongside Tim Roth, who plays the Abomination.”

This is the most information we have received about the new series aside from a few photos and video clips, especially given that the world is focused on the newly released installment of Doctor Strange and the upcoming Ms. Marvel series. However, given that this information was leaked by Disney themselves it seems it can be more than trusted. I am sure it is to be expected that some things might be moved around now, but hopefully, this might push Disney to give us more She-Hulk promotional content as that leaves us only three months to prepare for its release.

On average, Marvel likes to release their new installments and series with at least two months in between to give them their time to shine. Hopefully, after the release of Ms. Marvel on June 8th we will get a closer look at Tatiana Maslany and Mark Ruffalo. Tim Roth, as mentioned, will be reprising his role as the Abomination from The Incredible Hulk (2008). The show will run for 10 episodes with a runtime of 30 minutes each and will be a comedy series.

Back of She-Hulk

Just as a quick refresher, She-Hulk first premiered back in 1979 in Savage She-Hulk #1. Since then, the character has become a huge favorite among comic readers. While this series will be the first time she is adapted into a live-action form, the character has appeared in multiple animated projects before from Agents of S.M.A.S.H to, of course, Hulk. Back in March, we got a sneak peek of the hero's suit in some deleted merchandise listings but ever since it has been mostly silent.

Back in September of 2020, there was a rumor that Tatiana Maslany would be a part of the She-Hulk series. The official announcement came in December of that same year. There was also a rumor circulating just a few weeks ago that the series was in "production trouble" and considered "a mess." However, that is only a rumor! Things could be swinging in the opposite direction for the series in the long run.

Tatiana Maslany grew in fame with her performance in Orphan Black, a series where she played a grand total of seventeen clones with completely different personalities. She is impressive, to say the least, and I highly recommend watching it if you haven’t yet.

Until we get an official release date, you can read the official Disney UK post to see everything else Disney+ currently has to offer in the realm of Marvel and what is coming soon!
