A Seventh Season Of The Popular Anime, 'My Hero Academia' Has Been Announced

As season 6 of the My Hero Academia is wrapping up on Adult Swim’s Toonami block, a new season of the anime has been announced. In addition, Romi Park (known for Edward Elric in Full Metal Alchemist) has been confirmed to be voicing the character Stars and Stripes.
No release date has been announced for the upcoming season, only that it is in the works. Though the manga is entering its final arc, it is unknown whether or not season 7 will be the last season of the anime, as mangaka Kohei Horikoshi has not revealed how many chapters are left in the manga as the battle between All for One and One for All rages on. Plenty of action is happening in the manga, however, and the anime is most likely to pick up with a battle between villain Shigiraki and the aforementioned Stars and Stripes, who appears to be a female version of the hero All Might.

My Hero Academia follows the story of teenager Izuku Midoriya, a formerly quirkless youth who was gifted the quirk “One for All” by his hero idol, All Might. The anime up until recently has focused mainly on the young hero’s adventures at the hero school UA. However, more recently, an all-out war between the Paranormal Liberation Front and the heroes that protect Japan led to a drastic tone shift in the series. Season 7 will most likely continue this trend as the battles get more intense. My Hero Academia is available to stream on Crunchyroll and is currently airing on Toonami Saturday nights at 12:00am and 12:30am.
