Many Star Wars enthusiasts have been wondering when they would be able to interact with Grogu and The Mandalorian on Disney Parks rides in Galaxy’s Edge following the Star Tours - The Adventure Continues update earlier this year. Now, the time has come! Disney and Lucasfilm revealed the inclusion of a new story for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland parks.

Epic Games’ Unreal Engine aided Lucasfilm in creating some of The Mandalorian sets in the show and will continue their work on The Mandalorian and Grogu, which will be in theaters in May 2026. The Mandalorian’s story will continue on the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride, allowing guests “to fly alongside Mando and Grogu on thrilling, and dangerous, missions,” according to Star Wars creative executive Dave Filoni.

Some fans are worried that adding The Mandalorian and Grogu on the Millennium Falcon is a poor fit, curious how Mando even got ahold of the freighter class ship. In the current story on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, riders team up with Hondo Ohnaka to sneak into the First Order base and retrieve coaxium. It’s unclear how The Mandalorian and Grogu will place themselves on Falcon or if the mission will be completely different, changing with a variety of options at some point in the future, à la Star Tours.

When the most adorable creature in the galaxy hits the big screen in 2026, be sure to explore the attraction at Walt Disney World or Disneyland!
