Fans got a first glimpse of the upcoming holiday comedy this March when Black posted a picture of himself posing with Christmas decorations to Instagram:

Dear Santa will reunite Black and the Farrelly brothers after their fan-favorite collaboration on the 2001 film Shallow Hal. The Farrelly brothers are the creative duo behind beloved comedies such as Dumb and Dumber, Me, Myself & Irene, and There’s Something About Mary, to name a few. The brothers are also writing the script for Dear Santa with long-time collaborator Ricky Blitt.

Reportedly, the Farrelly brothers have been waiting for the right concept to team up with Jack Black again since their collaboration on Shallow Hal. While details on the film’s release have not yet been revealed, a wacky holiday adventure helmed by Jack Black will surely be on the top of everyone’s wish list this year.
