5 'Star Wars' Characters That Should Have Been Developed More
Star Wars has a large cast of characters ranging from our main cast such as Luke, Rey, and Anakin, to secondary characters like Boba Fett, and even background characters like Ochi of Bestoon. What do they all have in common apart from living in Star Wars? They all have the opportunity to develop and grow into fully fleshed-out characters. Sometimes a character with just one scene can even have their own book series later on down the line. However, some characters never get this treatment even when they have a lot of potential. But which characters should go on? Which ones deserve to be talked about more? This list will go over a few ideas that might come to mind.
Finn
Finn, from the Star Wars sequel trilogy was in three films, and yet it didn’t seem to be enough to explore such a deeply rich character. As a former stormtrooper turned Rebel, and apparently Jedi Knight in training, his story is still far from over. One has to wonder what he did to help his fellow stormtroopers brainwashed by the First Order. How will we learn about how he learned the ways of the Force and became a Jedi. His is a journey that should be continued in some form, be it a film or a Disney + series. His story is a must.

Rose
Featured in just one movie, yet Rose has become a staple of the sequel era. There is still much more to be done with this character. She is a very revolutionary character, seeing the war as not just a war against Sith or Jedi, or Empire vs Rebels, but the elite vs the masses. That, at the end of the day, is the way to end the war. That is a story and a character arc that should continue to be explored.
Connix
Connix is the Wedge of the Star Wars sequels, she appears in all the films, doesn’t have much of an arc and yet she is quite memorable to see on screen. Mostly due to the fact she is played by Billie Lourd, who is the daughter of Carrie Fisher, but also because she has a very memorable personality in the movies. This could be a character with several books and should be expanded upon.
Rae Sloane
From movies to books, Sloane is a character whose story is still not quite over. By the time of the last Aftermath trilogy she was heading to the Unknown Regions in hopes of rebuilding the Empire into something stronger and far more formidable to take down the New Republic. What became of her is unknown, however it is said that she did found the First Order and for a time was its leader, before Supreme Leader Snoke came into the picture. Hers is a story that still has much potential.
Snoke
Supreme Leader Snoke has been a character that has mesmerized many fans since his appearance in Force Awakens and has made many people wonder who he was. Who was this Emperor-wannabe who corrupted Ben Solo to the dark side of the Force? Well, apparently a literal Palpatine clone or at least some sort of duplicate. Regardless of what one thinks of his origin, the character is still a character and there is a chance to tell his story. What were his connections to Palpatine, how much of what he did was his own accord, what did he consider Palpatine's grand plan and how did he become Supreme Leader?
Star Wars never ends, and the characters who make it up never end, even in death. Thus there is always a chance for a character to make a comeback, and get expanded upon retroactively. Characters always have a chance to expand, so why not expand upon them in the Expanded Universe?
