20th Anniversary Theatrical Return Of 'The Lord of the Rings: The Return Of The King' Gets More Dates

Still only counts as one! Well, one theatrical re-release. The announcement of screenings of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of The King has generated so much hype that Fathom Events, Warner Bros, Legion M., and Lost Odyssey have announced additional dates. The original dates of April 13th and 19th in America were all sold out but fans can still catch the film on these additional dates:

  • Friday, April 14

  • Saturday, April 15

  • Sunday, April 16

  • Monday, April 17

  • Tuesday, April 18

  • Thursday, April 20 

There is also a showing in Canada on April 20th.

The re-release will show be showing the extended edition of the film and will include an introduction from Frodo Baggins himself, Elijah Wood, as he reflects on the legacy of the rich worlds created by Tolkien. In addition, the audience will catch exclusive coverage of a celebrity panel on their own adventure in Middle-earth in the new The Lord of the Rings tabletop game as they raise support for Extra Life For Kids, in conjunction with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.”
